Hon’ble Nangsid Lyonpo chaired the opening of the panel discussion on the Cultural
Landscape and sustaining its significance – 2019, in the Conference Hall of the
Department of Culture, which basically focus on the Management of Heritage
building of national importance – Punakha Dzong and associated landscapes. A
two days meeting was attended by the international representatives and experts,
Members of the Parliament and other distinguish guests. Also, a book on the Cultural
Landscape was launched during the opening ceremony.
The panel discussion will focus on the following three key areas.
- Integrating heritage preservation and cultural landscape sustenance in
settlement/town planning: Punakha Dzong and associated landscape as case
- Exploring approach in preserving living heritage in Bhutan
- Heritage as one of the key assets to Nation’s Economy
